About Us

Louise Slater is a London based artist from Yorkshire who graduated in Graphic Design from Northumbria University, specialising in printmaking and illustration. She went on to do post graduate studies at Goldsmiths College, University of London and taught art & design at several schools and colleges in London.

Greeting Cards

Louise's greeting card designs are based on drawings and linocut prints. Each card is blank inside, perfect for your own message and suitable for many different occasions.

All cards are printed on environmentally friendly and fully recyclable white card which is made from 100% Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) wood pulps, sourced from sustainable, carefully managed forests, where at least two trees are planted for every one felled.

Limited Edition Linocut Prints

Louise Slater's hand made linocut prints are created in limited editions of original artwork on acid free paper, using water based inks, and are signed and numbered by the artist.

Some of the prints are made by colour reduction process, where one lino tile is used to produce multiple colour prints. The lino is engraved, then printed with one colour, and then engraved again. The same tile is used to print another colour on the prints already made.

Because each print is hand printed, no two prints will be exactly the same, and there may be some variation in colour.

Please note that frames are not included with the linocut prints.

Homeware Products

Louise is developing a line of homeware products using her linocut designs and bird motifs, such as ceramic mugs and coasters.

All manufactured products are designed and made in Britain.
